All Sales Are Final

All sales on Rummage are final unless an item is not as described in the original listing. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or fit issues when the item matches the listing description.

What "Not as Described" Means

An item may be considered not as described only in the following cases:

Rummage is a marketplace for preloved items. Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing photos and descriptions carefully. Minor wear consistent with normal use is expected and does not qualify as damage.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that meets the criteria above, please contact us immediately by filing a claim through your Rummage account.

Claims Process

Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery, including weekends and holidays. Claims submitted after this window may not be accepted.

To file a claim:

  1. Log in to your Rummage account
  2. Go to My Orders
  3. Select the item and submit a claim using the provided link

Claim Review & Resolution

All claims are reviewed case by case by the Rummage team — not a bot, not AI. We aim to be fair to both buyers and sellers, but refunds are not guaranteed.

If a claim is approved:

You will receive a response within 3 business days with next steps.

Shipping & Carrier Issues

Any claim found to be inaccurate — including items that were worn, stained, or damaged after delivery — will be denied and may result in closure of the buyer’s account.
